Hi, I’m Jordayna Thomas, a proud Jamaican swimmer with a passion for both artistic and competitive swimming. I’ve been working tirelessly in and out of the pool, training every day to represent my country on the international stage.
This August, I’ve been selected to compete in the World Invitational 2025 — a major step on my journey to becoming an Olympian and standing on that podium with Jamaica’s flag held high. 🇯🇲

Challenge
One of the greatest challenges facing young athletes like myself is the lack of investment and resources in local sports development. Due to limited funding, our national swimming federation is often unable to support international competition expenses. As a result, the full financial burden falls on the swimmer and their family — from travel and accommodation to entry fees and training gear. This creates a major barrier for talented athletes who have the passion and potential but lack the means. Despite these challenges, I remain committed to representing Jamaica with pride and with your support, I can continue to chase that dream.
